Delivery and installation of your water tank

DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS

Delivery contact

Our Dispatch department will contact you within 3-4 weeks (pending on your delivery area & our workload) to confirm a delivery date and details. Dispatch will be in contact a 2nd time, approximately three days before the actual delivery, to complete a ‘Delivery Questionaire’ with you. This is necessary to ensure a smooth delivery, and for identifying any possible problems the driver may encounter on-route to, and/or at delivery address. Please carefully read the following requirements to ensure your delivery runs smoothly:-

Payment requirements

For tanks purchased online we require a minimum of a $500 deposit and the balance paid at least 3 working days before actual delivery. The deposit can be paid securely online via our NAB Credit Card gateway. The balance can be paid by EFTPOS, Cheques and Master or Visa Card payments (surcharges apply to card payments).

A cheque can be given to our driver on the day of delivery, provided a prior arrangement has been made with us and agreed to. It is company policy not to offload the tanks unless payment, or proof of payment has been received.

Delaying/Cancelling your delivery after a delivery date is confirmed

Please let Dispatch know as soon as possible should you wish your delivery to be delayed or cancelled once a delivery date has been confirmed. Leaving it too late will impact on other customers scheduled on the same truck.

Should you wish to cancel or delay your order after a delivery date has been confirmed with you, a cancellation and/or restocking fee of up to 20% may be charged depending on the circumstances. (Please see conditions on our website)

Prepare access for delivery

Please note that our truck and trailer is big – 5m (16'6") tall, 3m (10') wide, 18m (60') long or truck only, 9m (30') long – and needs a lot of clear access. Please check gates, roads, roundabouts, crossings, power lines and overhanging trees on your property so that we can deliver your tank without damage (access permitting).

If delivery cannot be made to your site – other hire and crane equipment is at purchaser's expense.

All delivery sites (man power required)

Our driver will need help to unload your tank from the truck/trailer. Please ensure enough people are available to assist at time of delivery.

If assistance cannot be provided then hire or use of any equipment is at purchaser’s expense. i.e crane hire, 4wd tractor hire, backhoe hire, frontend loader hire etc.

Plumbing fittings for you to decide on

Our driver will fit out your tank for you, in the positions you specify, provided your site is prepared and the tank/s can be placed in its position. We supply a number of fittings with each tank (details available on each product page). Extra fittings are available on request.

If you have any doubts about your installation please call us.

Should your site not be prepared or the tank/s cannot be placed in position, installation is the responsibility of the purchaser.

All other plumbing work to and away from the tank is the responsibility of the purchaser.

When your tank arrives:

Secure Your Tank

Storage of tanks prior to installation should be with webbing or rope. Chains and cables should not be used.

Alternatively, fill the tank with 100mm (4") of water.

Warranty conditions

Please carefully read our installation and warranty conditions as specified in our Terms of Trade, or a copy is available on our website.

We would like to draw your attention to two important warranty conditions:

  1. Preparation of slab: We require a level concrete slab, or crusher dust mixed with a couple of bags of cement. Sand or grass is not acceptable.
  2. Inflow vs outflow: The number of inlet pipes into the tank needs to equal the number of overflows to alleviate pressure in the tank or when it gets full. E.g. 2 inlet pipes require 2 overflows.
